Washing Instructions:
Close all zippers and velcro straps. Wash on a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30 degrees with low spin. Use mild detergent and no fabric softener.

The story behind it
Why I designed it
It started with one particularly wet, muddy walk with Alba. She was wearing her usual harness under a rain coat, and by the time we got home, her legs were soaked and muddy, and the harness had twisted the coat all out of place underneath.
I remember thinking there had to be a simpler way – one piece that protected her properly, kept her legs clean and dry, and didn't need a harness fitted separately every time. That's where the idea for Leva came from: a rain coat that does more, so getting ready for a walk in bad weather could be simple again.
What it took to get it right
This one took longer than most. Combining a harness and a rain coat into one piece meant solving two problems at once – it had to stay water-repellent and it had to sit right on the body, without the harness straps pulling the fabric out of shape.
Early versions either restricted movement in the shoulders or let water in right where the sleeves met the body. We adjusted the sleeve length more than once, repositioned the harness attachment points, and reinforced the seams around the front legs to stop water creeping in. Getting the built-in harness to feel just as secure as a standalone one – without adding bulk – took several rounds with our production team.

he breakthrough came when the harness and coat finally moved as one piece, instead of fighting each other. That's when Leva started to feel like a proper Staey design.

My story
Hi, I’m Noa – designer and founder of Staey. I live in Denmark with my dog Alba, and I started Staey because I was tired of choosing between functionality and aesthetics.
Every Staey design starts with real moments from my life with my own Alba. I sketch the first ideas at my kitchen table, and my team and I test, tweak and adjust until it works – for your dog and for you. Because practical can (and should) look beautiful.
