The story behind it
Why I designed it
Tora was created for dogs who find comfort in a space that gently surrounds them — and for people who want that comfort to fit naturally into a well-designed home. The raised sides give a feeling of calm and security, while the structured, supportive base helps dogs rest with ease. I chose curly fabric for its beautiful, tactile character — soft to the touch, but with a strong identity. It’s a bed that feels grounded and enduring, both in quality and expression.
What it took to get it right
Designing Tora meant getting every detail just right. We tested fill types and densities to land on a polyurethane foam that offers firm, stable support — especially important for dogs that need structure beneath them. The removable cover is made from textured curly fabric that holds up well to daily use, while still feeling soft and inviting. Inside, we used breathable, long-lasting inserts, and added a water-resistant bottom made from recycled PET — a practical and sustainable choice.
Why customers love it
Customers say their dogs feel at home in Tora from day one. The supportive sides offer a sense of protection, while the shape invites them to stretch out or curl up in comfort. People also love how Tora looks — minimal but full of warmth and texture. It’s easy to maintain, available in a wide range of sizes, and made with materials they can feel good about. A bed that delivers on comfort, function, and quiet beauty.

My story
Hi, I’m Noa – designer and founder of Staey. I live in Denmark with my dog Alba, and I started Staey because I was tired of choosing between functionality and aesthetics.
Every Staey design starts with real moments from my life with my own Alba. I sketch the first ideas at my kitchen table, and my team and I test, tweak and adjust until it works – for your dog and for you. Because practical can (and should) look beautiful.
