Dog Cave | Oat Bouclé
The story behind it
Why I designed it
I designed the bouclé dog cave to offer dogs a peaceful, secure retreat — a cozy space where they can truly feel at ease. Its enclosed shape creates a sense of calm and safety, perfect for dogs who like to curl up away from distractions. At the same time, I wanted the design to be simple and elegant, so it fits naturally into any home without feeling like just another pet accessory. It’s a quiet sanctuary for dogs and a subtle statement of care for their comfort.
What it took to get it right
Creating the dog cave meant balancing structure and softness in a compact design. The flexible foam walls provide gentle support without taking up too much space, while the removable inner cushion with breathable polyester filling offers warmth and comfort year-round. The soft bouclé fabric is both durable and inviting. Throughout the process, we collaborated with European workshops to ensure every material and detail meets our high standards — because comfort and quality are inseparable.
Why customers love it
Our customers appreciate how the dog cave becomes their pet’s favorite hiding spot — a place that offers real security and rest. They love that it fits stylishly into the home and is easy to keep clean, thanks to the removable, washable cushion. It’s praised for being both functional and beautifully crafted, turning a simple dog bed into a cherished piece of homeware. This is a product that brings peace of mind to both dogs and owners.

My story
Hi, I’m Noa – designer and founder of Staey. I live in Denmark with my dog Alba, and I started Staey because I was tired of choosing between functionality and aesthetics.
Every Staey design starts with real moments from my life with my own Alba. I sketch the first ideas at my kitchen table, and my team and I test, tweak and adjust until it works – for your dog and for you. Because practical can (and should) look beautiful.
