The story behind it
Why I designed it
Whether it’s mealtime, bath time, or nail clipping – some dogs just need a little distraction. The Staey Lick Mat was created to turn those everyday moments into calming, rewarding rituals. It helps dogs slow down, stay engaged, and enjoy a moment of focus.
What it took to get it right
We spent time perfecting the balance between functionality and design. A soft, textured surface ideal for pâté and wet food. A full suction base that sticks securely to any surface. And of course, durable, food-safe silicone that’s easy to clean – again and again.
Why customers love it
It turns grooming into bonding. It keeps dogs grounded when they need it most. And it looks good doing it. From kitchens to bathrooms, the Staey Lick Mat has become a go-to tool for making everyday life with dogs calmer and more enjoyable.

My story
Hi, I’m Noa – designer and founder of Staey. I live in Denmark with my dog Alba, and I started Staey because I was tired of choosing between functionality and aesthetics.
Every Staey design starts with real moments from my life with my own Alba. I sketch the first ideas at my kitchen table, and my team and I test, tweak and adjust until it works – for your dog and for you. Because practical can (and should) look beautiful.
